Step into a world where excellence

is not just a promise

but a standard

HOLISTIC HORSEMANSHIP

At HBD Equine, we believe that "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” We aspire to go beyond riding, by focussing on every aspect of horsemanship: breeding, training, handling and care, ensuring the best riding experience.

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” (African Proverb). HBD Equine embraces team work, recognising that each team member plays a valuable role in the success of the horse’s journey.

BEYOND BOUNDARIES

At HBD Equine, we dare to push boundaries. In the spirit of Here Be Dragons, we aim to help riders and horses push past their fears, embrace courage and to discover their true potential.

Mark Twain said, "Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do, than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” We embrace this adventurous spirit, aspiring to step outside our comfort zone, and to challenge ourselves and our horses. Together we aspire to navigate uncharted waters as we build a legacy of trust and excellence.

DELIVERING EXCELLENCE

At HBD Equine, we believe that excellence is not just a destination—it’s a journey. It's all about the details. James Kerr says: “Marginal gains: 100 things done 1 per cent better to deliver cumulative competitive advantage.” We are often hasty to place too much importance on a single defining moment and we underestimate the significance and importance of making small improvements on a daily basis.

We convince ourselves that in order to achieve massive success, we require monumental actions. This is however not true. Although a continuous 1% improvement does not appear noticeable at first, a continuous 1% improvement is far more meaningful in the long run.

What lies at

the edge

of the known world?

The Latin form "HC SVNT DRACONES" of the phrase "Here Be Dragons" was used to represent unknown, unexplored regions of the world, using illustrations of sea monsters, dragons, and other mythological creatures on uncharted areas on the map.

Explorers returning from these new regions brought back with them a spirit of boldness and curiosity that inspired the world to new levels of greatness. It is in this spirit that we embark on a journey of horsemanship that aims to transcend traditional practices.

So whether you are seeking the next champion or looking to build your bloodline, we invite you to join us in our pursuit of excellence. Because you’re not just a clientyou’re part of a legacy.
